The Life Design Project is launching a new Workshop Series!

The Life Design Projected is delighted to be launching a new workshop series this fall!

Please join us on Tuesday, September 17th, 2019 at 9:30 am for an introductory session, where I’ll share more about this new Life Design workshop series.

Workshop Series overview

The workshops are for everyone, and are designed to support you as you build a joyful and meaningful career and life! During each session, we’ll focus on different aspects of life design through presentations, guided activities, and discussions.

Together, these workshops will encompass what I believe is some of the most important work in designing and building a great life. Each week you will receive practical information, inspiration, and useful resources, while drawing on the shared wisdom, support, and accountability of the other workshop participants.

·      We will sample several principles and practices of life design developed at the Stanford University Life Design Lab, including compass building, reframing, mind mapping, prototyping, and the mindsets that will help you to move forward in the direction you would like to go.

·      We will draw on the work of Brene Brown and others to build resilience and bravery in the face of fear and uncertainty. We’ll explore imposter syndrome, and the role of vulnerability and empathy in building courage and confidence.

·      We will explore how we can apply permaculture principles to our work and lives, such as ‘doing what you can, where you are, with what you have’, outsourcing friction, stacking functions, using small and slow solutions, and creatively responding to change.

·      We will develop individual quality of life (mission) statements that will serve as a guide as you move forward, and ensure a coherence between who you are, what you believe, and what you do.

·      You will leave each workshop knowing your direction and focus for the week ahead, and have a series of questions to consider based on the session topic.

The workshop format will alternate each week between an overview of a topic, followed the next week by a facilitated discussion of that topic. This will allow us to deepen our understanding and insights through a balance of learning, homework between sessions, and supportive group discussion.

This Fall, workshops are scheduled Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:00 for 10 weeks. While each workshop is designed as a stand-alone session that will allow you to drop-in when you can, you are encouraged to attend as often as possible to benefit from the continuity and shared experience of the group.

To allow all who are interested to participate (while space allows), the cost to attend the workshops will be ‘pay what you can’, with a suggested fee of $10. – $30. /session, or $100 - $300 for the 10-week program.  Hot drinks and a light snack will be provided.
