‘Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?’

In her poem, The Summer Day, Mary Oliver reminds us of the preciousness of our lives and the importance of imagining, creating, and building the life we want. We would all like to make the most of our one wild and precious life, but sometimes we become stuck. We may be unsure of our direction, or not know how to build the life we envision for ourselves. My passion is bringing clarity and support to those who are ready to explore a new direction, navigate a transition, or work toward building a more joyful and fulfilling life. I understand why people get stuck, and the ideas, principles, and strategies for moving forward.

As a Social Worker, Researcher, and Educator (HBSW, MSW, PhD), I have direct experience and broad knowledge of working with a solution focused and evidence based approach in diverse contexts: with individuals, groups, and organizations, in education and health care, and research centres and universities. As a curious and dedicated lifelong learner, I have also completed a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC, 2016) and a mindfulness meditation course (2015), both of which serve as innovative approaches to caring for ourselves and others.

I have drawn on the knowledge, experience, and insights from all aspects of my life and work, coupled with extensive research in diverse areas, to support the work I do in research, education, and training, and facilitating life design courses, workshops, and individual life design sessions.
